Culinary student tops Pepsi finals

-

MANILA, Philippines – Culinary student Jeric Carabeo claimed the top prize – a brand-new Nissan Grand Livina – in the Pepsi Grand National finals of the SM Bowling Cup with 670 total pinfalls in a three-game championship round recently.

Kim lan Chi came in second to pocket P100,000 in cash prize plus a 40” LCD TV, while third placer Emil Sadain copped P50,000.

The final round was held at the new SM Bowling Center North Edsa with 30 high-caliber contenders coming from all over Metro Manila and Cebu, vying for the top spot.

But it was Jeric who proved the most formidable with his consistent high performance in the finals.

Coming from a family of bowlers, Jeric trains every Tuesday with the Tenpin Bowling Club of Parañaque (TBCP) and is also a member of the Bowling Association of Las Piñas (BALP).

Last April 29, he also beat other finalists at the Dagupan Bowling Open.

Previous winners Ric Pacana and Audi Castro each received a brand-new Nissan Sentra.

At the Pepsi Grand National Finals alone, cash prizes amounting to more than P300,000 have been given away.
