American Vinyl lauds Padyak triumph

MANILA, Philippines - The American Vinyl-Liquigaz cycling team managed by Eric Sy and Arnel Ty recently held a victory party for its triumph at the 2009 Padyak Pinoy at the Hongkong Master Restaurant along D. Macapagal Blvd. in Pasay City.

The party was attended by team officials led by Sy and Ty, the team members and supporters, Philcycling officers and some media people.

The American Vinyl five composed of Lloyd Lucien Reynante, Ronnel Hualda, Cris Joven, Lloyd Berjame and Toots Tonido and coached by former Tour champion Renato Dolosa topped the team race of the eight-day bikathon and won P500,000 for its feat. Reynante and Hualda finished second and sixth overall to carry the team to first place among 15 teams who competed in the multi-stage event.

Dolosa attributed the victory to the all-out management support and his team’s determination to win.

He particularly paid tribute to his captain, Reynante who gave up chasing the individual title to focus on the team, which is also backed by the LPGMA headed by Ty.
