Microsoft run listup May 27

MANILA, Philippines - Runners who want to join the Microsoft  IE8 Run slated Sunday at the Fort Bonifacio Global City have until May 27 to submit their entry, this was announced by race director Rudy Biscocho.

The race will usher in the new Internet Explorer 8 while it helps raise funds for the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) from the proceeds of entry fees.

Chay Mondejar-Saputil, Microsoft Phils. Windows client product manager, said P64,500 cash is at stake for the top three finishers of the 8-mile and 4-mile runs as well as the best aid station cheering group.

Gift certificates, trophies and medals await the top three finishers of the 2-mile kids category.  

According to Saputil, the top overall winner in the 8-mile run, male and female, will receive P8,000 plus trophy, second P4,000 plus medal and third P2,000 plus medal.

The top overall winner in the 4-mile run will receive P4,000 plus trophy, second and third P2,000 and P1,000 plus medal. In the 2-mile kids category, the top three finishers will  receive gift certificates, trophies and medals.

Running groups and cheer groups from schools may compete in the best aid station contest  where the best cheering  group receives P10,000, second P7,500 and third P5,000.

Registration fee is P300 for all events. For the kids category in the 2-mile distance, fee is P200 for kids and P300 for adults. Microsoft t-shirts are issued upon registration.  After the May 27 deadline, entries may be admitted with an entry fee of P400.
