Zoleta enters final in Gov. Alcala Open

LUCENA, Philippines – Top seed Bambi Zoleta blasted Clarice Patrimonio in quarterfinal, 6-4, 6-3, and Michelle Pang in the semifinal, 5-7, 6-4, 6-4, to advance to the finals of the Gov. Anacleto C. Alcala Open Tennis Championships at the Lucena City Tennis Courts in Lucena Saturday.

Zoleta goes for the women’s singles title against Christine Patrimonio, who defeated Aileen Rogan, 6-4. 6-1.

 In doubles play Bambi partnered with Jessica Agra to defeat the pair of Bien Zoleta, her sister, and Pang, 6-1, 2-6, 10-4.

 The Zoleta sisters grabbed the women’s doubles trophy in last year’s version of the tournament.

 “As a defending champion, I will do my best to fight for my title and for my hometown,” Zoleta said.

 Fiscal Sandy Maranan, president of the Lucena City Tennis Club, has organized the tournament in support of the development program of Rep. Procy Alcala (2nd District, Quezon). Michelle Zoleta
