Airgun Silhouette shootfest tomorrow

MANILA, Philippines – Ten teams will vie for honors in the third Airgun Metallic Silhouette shooting tournament tomorrow, starting at 8 a.m., at the PNSA range (Marines compound) in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

These are Armscor, Filarms Shooting Team, Bulacan Shooter Association, JBC Airgun Shooting Team, Angeles City Shooters Club, Laguna Airgun Shooters Association, Ateneo Rifle-Pistol Team, Las Piñas Airgun Shooters Group, Tanuay City-Negros Airgun Team and Naga City Airgun Club.

The one-day event is organized by the Philippine National Shooting Association, sponsored by JSB Match Diabolo and supported by Jollibee, Astoria Plaza Hotel, Dental First, A. Venue Hotel, Pearl of the Pacific Boracay, PLDT SME Nation, Calcium Cee, Bioessence, Waters Philippines, Citibank, 88DB and Asean Biztimes.

“Metallic shooting is a fast-rising event worldwide,” says PNSA president Art Macapagal. “This is also getting to be popular in the countryside, like Davao and other Visayan cities.”

In this event, participants fire at small animal targets in metallic forms.
