Cembrano-Flores pair rules Tuason Cup
MANILA, Philippines - Antonio Cembrano and partner Dexter Flores won the overall crown while Abie Lerma and Jung Soo Park claimed the overall low gross plum in the 10th Don Celso Tuason Cup at the Valley Golf and Country Club in Antipolo recently.
Walter Navarro and Pablo Roman III bested the pairs of Rene Barruela-Rosanna Rios and Jaime Panganiban-Franklin Velarde to capture the Division I crown while Romeo Santos and Anton Aquino won the Division II title over the Jose Tayawa-Francis Telan and Antonio de Ubago-Mike Morada tandems.
Rodrigo Nolasco and Nestor Valdez copped the Division III diadem, beating the teams of Magtanggol Roldan-Rolly Valdez and Restituto de Quiros-Domingo Medalla, while Timmy Yao and Willy Tee-Ten fended off the pairs of Reynaldo Rodriguez II-Joel Aguada and Ernesto Jalandoni-Winston Mapua to bag the Division IV crown.
Emmanuel Rapadas and teammate Antonio Sibayan took the Division V title over the Alekhine Africa-Isabelo Africa and Remigio Villaluna-Romualdo Reposar tandems.
Henry Sia Go and William Yang, meanwhile, bested the pairs of Jaime Zapata-King Sumulong and Francisco del Rosario-David Balangue to pocket the seniors division title.
Jun Aqui-Jonathan Sebastian (Unilab) topped the sponsors division followed by the tandems of Honor Mendoza-Matthew Mendoza (SPES), Bong de Luna-Matet Salivio (Texas Eagle), Vince Hizon-Ed Bolanos (Club Car) and Junnel Roxas-Xavier Soriano (Pagcor).
Boni Sumbilla, club president commended the organizing committee headed by Navarro for the successful staging of the event during the awards rites.
