Non-master chess slated at Parañaque

MANILA, Philippines - The Magnolia non-master chess tournament resumes on May 2 with the staging of the 1950 below NCFP rapid rating starting at 9 a.m. at the Perez Building, Doña Soledad cor. Australia Sts, Better Living, Parañaque City.

Up for grabs in the 16th edition of the first Saturday tourney, a seven-round Swiss system event sponsored by Magnolia Health Tea drinks, is the top purse of P3,000.

Other events on tap are seniors, kiddies, ladies and unrated.

The tournament is organized by Barangay Don Bosco Chess Club (BDBCC) headed by Bong Perez and Cecil Padua.
