Que rallies with 67 but Miñoza falters

-

MANILA, Philippines - Frankie Miñoza faltered with a one-over par 75 but Angelo Que fought back with a five-under 67 to bounce back into contention in the third round of the Black Mountain Masters at the Black Mountain Golf Club in Hua Hin, Thailand yesterday.

Que, the reigning RP Open champion, birdied four of the first six holes and went on to fire three more birdies against two bogeys for a 33-34 round and a 54-hole haul of eight-under 208.

Que jumped from joint 29th to a share of 10th, moving within five strokes of Sweden’s Johan Edfors, who birdied the last two holes to save a 71 and a 203 for a two-shot lead over Jason King of Australian (69) and Chris Rodgers of England (67) – who both had 205s.

Miñoza, just three strokes off the lead at the start of the round, wavered coming home with three straight bogeys from No. 14, needing to birdie the final hole to salvage a 75. He tumbled down to 18th from joint third.

Artemio Murakami fired a second straight 71 for a 210 while Tony Lascuna shot a 68 to be at 211.
