Riviera's Langer still Asia's best course

-

MANILA, Philippines - Riviera’s Langer course was named Asia’s best golf course for the second time by the Asian Golf Monthly during the Asia-Pacific Golf Development Summit at the Mission Hills Golf Club and Resort in Shenzhen, China recently.

Riviera, which hosted three Philippine Opens and a regular venue of the Konica-Minolta National pro-am tournament, also gained the plum in 2006 and finished runner-up in 2007.

“This is a proud and great moment, once again, for us,” said Riviera Golf Club president Bert Varona. “It speaks well of the hard work and commitment our people have pumped in to maintain a course like this.”

“The award says it all,” Riviera’s board chairman Joe Solquillo, said. “More importantly, the award is proof of Riviera’s ability to compete and win. More than words, I wanted meaning and proofs, and we have them now.”
