Emerald Vinyl tops ABC bowlfest

MANILA, Philippines - Dante Manglicmot and Joan Mendoza of Emerald Vinyl combined for 3068 pinfalls to capture the Group I crown while Tony Naval and Violy Magsakay of Ragojos Heritage Const. topped Group 2 with a 2738 in the Architects Bowling Club’s all-events singles scratch at the Green Valley Bowling Lanes in Pasig City last week.

Paeng Villanueva and Ronnie Javier of Lepanto Tiles finished second with 3062 while Jerry Cham and Loret Talabucon of Boysen Paints scored 3040 to place third in Group I in the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Eugene Panaguiton and Edwin Laguitan of ABC Phils. made 2625 while Zeny Prudente and Edwin Laguitan of Sika Phils. had 2594 to place second and third, respectively, in Group 2.

Meanwhile, ABC president Romi de Jesus is inviting all licensed architects to join the event held every Tuesday as ABC prepares for its 32nd anniversary with a month-long tournament and club outing in Hong Kong in May.

Action in the event, backed by Supreme Steel Pipes Corp., Pacific World Bldg. Mgmt., Felport Mktg., Hocheng Phils., Pro Active Pest Control, Crown Pipes and Philflex Wires and Cables resumes at 7 tonight with the resumption of the doubles event one-group with handicap, also at the Green Valley lanes.
