Milo launches summer clinics
MANILA, Philippines - Long-time sports patron Milo kicks off its nation-wide, three-month summer sports clinics this month with workshops and training in badminton, basketball, bowling, chess and football among others.
Highly trained and experienced coaches will conduct the clinics of the internationally-accepted program, including the best training and equipment available to develop one’s full potential.
Other sports on tap are gymnastics, ice skating, karatedo, lawn tennis, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo and volleyball.
Through the years, the Milo-sponsored summer has produced champions in various fields, including Paola Obanana in badminton, Paolo Mendoza, Patrick Fran and Larry Fonacier in basketball, Olympian Bea Lucero and SEA Games medalists Tammy de Guzman and Roel Ramirez in gymnastics, Grandmaster Mark Paragua in chess, Davis Cupper Johnny Arcilla in tennis, and Japoy Lizardo in taekwondo.
On top of the benefits inside the playing arena, the clinics also serve as a place where the youngsters develop character-forming values like discipline, teamwork, self-confidence, leadership, resilience and fair play.
