'Kalikasan' race slated at San Lazaro Leisure and Business Park

MANILA, Philippines - The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) will hold the “Karera Para Sa Kalikasan” stakes race at the San Lazaro Leisure and Business Park tracks in Carmona, Cavite tomorrow.

The event dubbed Sec. Lito Atienza Cup, which will be run on Race 5, offers P75,000 for the winner plus trophies to the owner, trainer and jockey. The runner-up will get P30,000 while the third and fourth finishers will take home P10,000 and P5,000, respectively.

Ten other trophy races spice up the racing program with P20,000 bonus prize being awarded the winner of each ace. The races are dubbed Save Taal Lake, Save The Philippine Eagle, Vote Puerto Princesa Underground River, Run for The Trees, Gloria ng Kalikasan, Save Manila Bay, Save Laguna Lake, Manilenyo Mahal ang Kalikasan, Save Pasig River and Celebrate Earth Day on April 22.
