Mars Pucay sizzled with two birdies in the front nine before going up and down at the back for a two-under 70 and a five-under 139 total at 13th place after two rounds of the rich Malaysian Open at the Saujana Golf and Country Club in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia yesterday.

Juvic Pagunsan slowed down with a 73 after a 67 as he slid two rungs down to 21st in the tourney now paced by Malaysian Danny Chia after a stirring 65 for a two-round aggregate of 131. Alexander Noren shot a steady 71 to trail Chia by three.

Frankie Miñoza and Angelo Que both fired a two-under 70 as they also made the halfway cut at 142 and 143, respectively.
