3 on 3 Baller deadline up
MANILA, Philippines - Schools and teams have only until Feb. 20 to register for the 2009 Primovit – Futures 3 on 3 Baller Battle which will be held at the Ateneo de Manila High School March 7-8.
“We are advising school and non-school teams to register early as we have limited slots available,” said Niño Sinco from the organizing Futures Sports and Events, adding that other places being eyed for future 3-on-3 streetball tournaments are Davao, Cebu, and Cagayan de Oro.
Cash prizes of P8,000 each for the champion teams and P4,000 for the runner-up teams are at stake on top of medals and product giveaways for the players.
Early registrants are defending girls junior champion Adamson University, junior boys champions La Salle Greenhills, last year’s midget champion San Beda College-Alabang, and 2008 mini division titlist Ateneo de Manila.
Other schools in the tournament also sponsored by Philips Peripherals/Accessories, Fruitini Juice Veggie Drink, Captain Bawang, Cool Choice Juice Drink, and JR & R Distributors, are Xavier, Colegio de San Agustin, St. Scholastica and University of Sto.Tomas, Diliman Preparatory School, Montessori International School, Antipolo Multiple Intelligence School, and College of the Holy Spirit.
