Philippine College of Criminology, St. Francis stage title duel

MANILA, Philippines - Philippine College of Criminology seeks to sweep its way to the title but St. Francis of Assisi College is out to foil its bid when they collide in Game One of their best-of-three series for the first UCLAA championship at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum on Thursday.

The Enforcers edged the Las Piñas Blue Lions, 59-58, last week to clinch the first finals berth while keeping their record clean in the event backed by Mang Inasal, Air21, Besuto prawn crackers, Villa De Oro Boracay, Magarbo, Magnolia, Basketbolista and www.gameface.ph.

The Doves, multi-titled in other leagues before joining the inaugural edition of the UCLAA, needed an extra game to turn back the De Ocampo Memorial College Cobras and clinch the other finals berth.

St. Francis dropped a 71-72 decision to De Ocampo but fought back with a 72-58 rout over the weekend to forge an interesting showdown with PCCr.

Also on tap is the high school championship pitting PCCr against St. Jude College before the PCCr-St. Francis seniors finals.
