Lim rules autocross kickoff leg

David Lim of DGL Motorsports won six titles, including the overall fastest time award in the first leg of the Autocross Regional Championship Series at the Cebu Auto and Racing Show at the Park Mall in Mandaue City recently.

Driving a Honda CRX, Lim registered the overall fastest time of 56.72 seconds to rule the Open B division. With the same car, he went on to rule the Novice Modified B in 1:00.14 and the Experience Modified B in 58.11 seconds.

With his Mitsubishi Evolution V, Lim bagged the crown in the Experienced Modified C in 58.50 seconds and the Open C in 57.91 seconds.

Lim also finished runner-up in the Novice Modified C and the All-Wheel Drive categories.

“It’s a good start to the year, and hopefully, we can have more in the coming races,” said Lim.

David Lim Jr., meanwhile, won the All-Sports Car title in 1:00.33.

In other divisions, Philip Lim topped the Novice Stock A and B while Blake Go bagged the crown in the Modified Novice A aside from three runners-up and two third place trophies.
