Arellano University drew strength from a big fourth quarter effort as it walloped Olivarez College yesterday to clinch an automatic finals slot in the juniors division of the 16th National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) basketball tournament at the Arellano U Gym.
The Baby Chiefs, who relied on the clutch shooting of Kim Pagayunan, thus completed a six-game sweep of the elimination round that gave them a berth in the best-of-three finals for the third straight year in the event backed by Mikasa, Molten Balls and www.philspike.com.
Pagayunan fired 33 points including 11 in the first seven minutes of the final canto that sparked the breakaway.
