Manila to host Little League elims

Manila will host the Philippine Series for the first time, giving baseball and softball a big boost with its staging April 12-20 at various venues.

Events on tap in the boys’ baseball and girls’ softball for players aged 11-18 are Major League (11-12), Junior League (13-14), Senior League (14-16) and Big League (14-18).

The winners will earn berths in the Asia- Pacific eliminations for the World Series set in July in the key Asian cities.

Games will be held at the Rizal Memorial baseball stadium, UST, Polytechnic University of the Philippines and the Manila Boys town in Marikina City, according to Manila Little League charter president Filomeno “Boy” Codiñera.
