Arellano moves closer to NCRAA three-peat
Arellano University outlasted PATTS College of Aeronautics, 83-73, recently to inch closer to a three-peat in the National Capital Region Athletic Association at the Rizal Technological University Gym.
The Chiefs, the back-to-back champions, drew strength from Adrian Celada’s 18 points and PBL standout Orlando Daroya’s 17 points in extending their amazing run to eight wins that kept them way ahead of the field.
The Legarda-based school, which is knocking on the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s door, survived a stubborn PATTS early on but later leaned on the heroics of Celada and Daroya.
Arellano’s high school team, for its part, was equally impressive as it routed Emilio Aguinaldo College, 82-33, to tow the field with a 4-0 (win-loss) slate.
