Arellano, RTU pace NCRAA junior caging

-

Defending champion Arellano University and Rizal Technological University turned back separate rivals yesterday to remain ahead in the junior division of the 16th National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) basketball tournament at the RTU gym.

Kim Pagayunan spearheaded the Baby Chiefs’ bid over Emilio Aguinaldo College, 82-33, as they seized the solo lead with their fourth straight triumph.

Carlo Sabangan hit 19 points for the Baby Thunders, who walloped the Olivarez College Sea Lion Cubs, 87-73, in the cagefest, sponsored by Mikasa and Molten Balls, and www.philspike.com.

With their clean record, the Baby Chiefs stayed on track for a third straight championship. They have, in fact, notched their 15th straight win, counting their 11-game sweep last year.
