Enforcers streak to 5th win in row

Philippine College of Criminology dealt host St. Francis of Assisi College its second straight defeat, scoring a 69-64 victory to remain the only unbeaten squad in the first Universities and Colleges of Luzon Athletic Association (UCLAA) basketball tournament at the NCBA-Fairview gym last Monday.

Arjay Dionero fired 19 points to help power the Enforcers to their fifth straight victory heading to month-long holiday break. Action in the inaugural league resumes on Jan. 14, 2009.

The Doves fell to 5-2.

Earlier, the junior PCCr squad overpowered National College of Business and Arts, 110-71, to likewise stay on top of the heap with a 4-0 mark.

Edrien Solares topscored with 23 points while Bugoy Mendano shipped in 18 points for PCCr.

In other seniors matches, Colegio De Sta. Monica beat De Ocampo Memorial College, 72-63, for a 2-3 card. DOMC slid to third with a 4-2 slate.

Las Piñas College (3-2) whipped St. Jude College, 79-61, while Metro Manila College (3-2) survived Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa (2-3), 96-93.
