Pagunsan moves up in JW Classic
Juvic Pagunsan carded a four-under-par 68 and jumped three rungs up to 12th place after the penultimate round of the Johnnie Walker Classic at the Phokeethra Country Club in Siem Reap, Cambodia yesterday.
Pagunsan sank five birdies against a bogey as he continued his climb on the leader-board now paced by Thailand’s Thongchai Jaidee after an eight-under 64 for a three-day aggregate of 198.
Jaidee was 18 under in 54 holes, enjoying a five-stroke lead over Americans Anthony King and Corey Harris.
Another Thai bet, Chawalit Plaphol, fell from No. 1 to joint fourth with Englishman Steven Tiley as he settled for an even-par 72 after a 67 and a 66.
Mars Pucay also slid in the leader-board after a 71 that sent him down to joint 15th from seventh in the second round.
Artemio Murakami seized a share of 15th with Pucay and Australian Unho Park after firing a 67 for 208.
Antonio Lascuña was at 71-213 and Jerome Delariarte at 71-214.
