Mitsubishi staked in S'woods tiff
A Mitsubishi Lancer GLS, an Alaskan cruise with business class tickets for two, two golf carts, three vacation packages, two iron sets, a bedroom showcase and a split type, heavy-duty air-conditioning unit are some of the hole-in-one prizes to look forward to as the Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club’s Chairman’s Cup tees off today at the Masters and Legends courses.
More than 600 members and guests, including Manila Southwoods chairman Robert John Sobrepeña, are participating, further enhancing the chances of bagging any of these wonderful items up for grabs in the three-day tournament slated in Carmona, Cavite and ends Saturday. In case no one makes an ace, majority of the prizes would be on offer in the raffle.
Sobrepeña, who just arrived from the successful staging of the Fil-Am tournament in Baguio City, said a bevy of prizes at stake would attract a lot of members and guests to the annual event.
“A very positive sign for Manila Southwoods as the new year approaches. And we won’t stop here. We’ll come up with more members’ affairs in 2009,” Sobrepeña said of the Chairman’s Cup, which has Golforce Inc., Mejore, Dynamic Sports, Mizuno, Warbird Security, Starmakers, Inc., and the Sabah Malaysian Borneo Tourism as major sponsors. CS9/Solar Sports is media partner.
Hole-in-one sponsors are Mitsubishi Motors, Diamond Motors, Royal Caribbean International, Baron Travel Corp., Korean Air, Kart Plaza, The Turf Co., Pacsports, Wilson Sports, Coca-Cola, SYM Motorbikes, Dynamic Sports, Mit-Air Sales and Mizuno.
