Alcaraz heroics rescue Wizards

JP Alcaraz made a steal and canned in two pressure-packed charities in the last 10 seconds as Magnolia Purewater stole a 75-72 victory over Bacchus to solidify its hold of second place in the PBL PG Flex Linoleum Cup at the Emilio Aguinaldo College gym in Manila yesterday.

The Wizards fell behind by as many as 14 points but recovered in time behind Leo Losentes and Al Magpayo before leaning on Alcaraz endgame heroics to notch their fourth straight win for a 6-1 record overall.

“We started slow but good thing we were able to recover in the final half,” said coach Koy Banal.
