Rich prizes staked in Pacquiao darts champ gets

All the darters in the men’s Open Division who finish from first up to the 64th place will be getting a share of the cash prize at stake in the Manny Pacquiao P2Million International Darts Classic set from Dec. 12 to 15 at GenSan.

The overall champion in the highlight event will receive P320,000, the second placer gets P150,000, the third and fourth placers go home with P75,000 each, while the fifth to eighth placers will be P35,000 each richer.

A cash prize of P10,000 each goes to the ninth up to the 16th placer, while the 17th to 32nd placers go home with P3,000 each, from the 33rd to the 64th placer, there will be a P1,000 cash prize each, total pot for the men’s Open Division is P920,000.

In the women’s side, the top two placers will receive P40,000 and P20,000, respectively while the third and fourth placers get P10,000 each, fifth to eighth placers receive P3,000 each and the ninth to 16th placers will be given a P1,000 each in the tournament organized by the National Dart Federation of the Philippines.(NDFP) and supported by the Mindanao Archipelago Dart Federation, the Association of General Santos Darters, the city government of GenSan headed by Mayor Pedro Acharon, Robson razor, and with world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao donating the P2M cash prize.

Aside from the men’s and women’s open divisions, there will be other competitions like the classified draw doubles offering P50,000 for the champion team , the 4-person team championship, which stakes P150,000 for the champion team, youth singles that rewards the champion with P8,000, a classified draw triple event with the members sharing the champion’s purse of P78,000, and the fixed doubles with P50,000 as top purse.

“ Certainly this is the biggest darts tournament in the country in terms of prizes and that is why we are expecting also a record crowd to participate including foreign darters from neighboring countries, “ said Tito Soncuya of the NDFP.
