Dio heads RP bid in Mr Universe tilt
Reigning NAC (National Athletic Committee) world bodybuilding champion Renato Dio goes for another international crown when he leads the Philippine team to the NAC Mr. and Ms. Universe 2008 beginning tomorrow in Hamburg, Germany.
Dio, who captured the gold medal in the master age 50+ category in the recent NAC World Championship in Athens, Greece, will be joined in the two-day championship ending Sunday by Roman Cortuna and William Go with Flex and NAC Philippines as chief backers.
Cortuna, who copped the silver medal in the men’s Class 4 category in the NAC Mr. and Ms. Universe 2006, also in Hamburg, will compete in the men’s Class 3 division this time.
Go, on the other hand, will vie in the Mr. Athletic Physique Class 2 category and the mixed pair class with Rowena Marcaida.
Marcaida is also set to compete in the Ms. Figure Age 35+ category.
