A 4-cock anniversary derby will be held today at the Elorde Cockpit Stadium on Sucat Road, Parañaque, starting at 6 p.m.
Promoted by businessman-sportsman Johnny Elorde, the derby, now on its 15th year, has a guaranteed prize of P.4 million, with top breeders and cockfighters expected to participate.
Entry fee is P11,000, with the handler and the gaffer of the winning entry receiving P20,000 and P10,000, respectively. More than 60 entries have signified their intention to join. More are expected to submit their entries until 12 noon today, said Elorde.
Meanwhile, the Dela Hoya-Pacquiao fight will be shown live via satellite at The Flash Grand Ballroom of the Elorde Sports Center on Dec. 7, starting at 8 a.m. Discounted rates are available for those who will buy their tickets early.
