TRS holds race of champs at MOA

Tuason Racing School continues its search for potential champions in the second leg of the TRS-Ford Focus Race of Champions dubbed Slalom Race like a Champion Nov. 22 at SMX Parking Lot, SM Mall of Asia.         

TRS is using the event to help motorsports grow by providing venues for different disciplines in racing. It is open to anyone with a valid driver’s license and good driving sense.

The event is sponsored by Standard Insurance, Petron, Goodyear, Aguila, Bioactive, Ford Racing, Starbright Body Kits, Dupont, Bilstein, FCP, Unichip, R2R, Tradeshow, Winner and media partners H&R, Mr&Ms., C! Magazine, Businessworld, Speedlab and NU107.

Early registration is a must due to limited slots. Minors must be accompanied by guardians. Participants will learn the basics of slalom drivingand will have a practice session driving the Ford Focus TDci.

 that boasts of superb driving dynamics and performance.

In the last leg at the Lifestyle Center Alabang, Adrian Wood topped Class A for experienced drivers clocking 1:47.21 seconds to rule over Nino Fabre (1:47.92) and Timo Koponen (1:48.35).

The Class B crown went to Mars de los Reyes who submitted a time of 1:54.34 to turn back Joy Delorei and third placer Marcelo Naval.

They will battle each other in two race heats to determine the best drivers of the day with trophies to be given to the most improved drivers. Moreover, the experience will give racing enthusiast chance to take a dip on slalom racing without having to shell out thousand and thousands of pesos to race.
