Ong dominates PBA Open

Frederick Ong of TBAM/Prima/RP team rolled 225 in 16 games to assert his supremacy over the field and capture the Open Masters crown in the 28th PBA Open at the Green Valley lanes in Pasig.

Teammate Dyan Coronacion finished runner-up with 3467 pins followed by Raoul Miranda of MTBA/RP team (3454) and Jeff Chan of TBAM/Prima (3393).

Jeremy Posadas of Sletba/Bowlmart topped the graded masters with 2723, beating Tobs Renacia of Sletba (2708), John Tiongson of PBA (2704) and Jerth Santos of TBAM/Prima/Batang X (2686) in the tournament sponsored by CDO, Dyno-Tab/Notredame Schools, Blue Petals, Final Inspection, Fort Ilocandia, Green Valley Club, Mini Stop, Pan De Pidro, Citimotors, Philippine Seniors Bowlers, STEM, Ultracote, Tanduay Rhum, Henrich, Landbank, Pricepts and Runic Financial Plan.

Joe Cabactulan of MTBA/Pagcor won the associate masters title with 2314, defeating June Chua of Sletba (2299) while Susan San Diego of PBA/GMTBC ruled the ladies masters with 1944.
