Close to 300 players have signed up for the Architects Golf Classic which gets under way today at the Langer course of the Riviera Golf and County Club.
In the architects division, 175 players, led by defending overall champion Ed Pinga, will vie for the overall title, low gross and Class A-D honors.
Tournament format will be the AGClassic 36, a modified version of System 36.
Crowding Pinga in the title drive are last year’s low gross champion Gene Go and division champions Ric Mongalo, Ed Romualdez, Cadio San Juan and Rafael Villanueva.
In the sponsors division, players will compete for champion and runner-up honors under the regular System 36 format.
Boysen Paints has been the major sponsor since the tournament’s inception in 1992. Hole-in-one sponsors are Pacsport, Honda Cars Alabang, Diamond Motors, Futura Window Decor Products and Amega Global.
