Arroyo, Antonio face off in NCA derby
The National Cockers’ Alliance (NCA) will hold its initial derby on Dec. 16, at the Ynares Center in Pasig to be hosted by Cong. Iggy Arroyo and Boy Jalandoni.
Arroyo, the current NCA Cocker of the Year, and Patrick Antonio, will fight it out again in the most exciting derby in the NCA circuit.
The NCA counts as members the best of the best in the country. From Metro Manila are top gamefowl enthusiasts Jerry Ramos, Ferdie Buensalida, Danny Valero, Elmer Nepomuceno, Boy Torres, Patrick Antonio, Gov. Ito Ynares, Benjie Lim, James Uy, Ruel Ricaford, Mario Villamor, Manny Santos, Arman Santos, Eric dela Rosa, T. Sevilla, Edwin Santos, the Firefly Group, and Jimmy Ang.
The Dec. 16 derby will be followed by the first derby of 2009 on Jan. 6. It will be hosted by Ramos and Buensalida.
These derbies are preliminary events to the much-awaited NCA World Championship on Jan. 13, 15, and 17, 2009, where the champion will receive the prestigious Senate President’s Cup. Top American cockers are expected to compete in the prestigious event.
