Ready2Race bets brace for title drive in karting series

Ready2Race aims to wrap up the season with a big bang behind four ace karters – Juha Turalba, Roby Benito, Brian del Val and Joey Orduna – today in the championship leg of the 2008 Shell Helix Karting Super Series at the Carmona Circuit Philippines in Bangkal, Carmona, Cavite.

The team bagged the major awards in the previous leg as Ready2Race president Chito Benito expressed big hopes for a repeat of that feat behind Turalba in both the ROK Seniors and Formula 125 Open Seniors, Roby Benito in the ROK Junior Expert, and Orduna in the ROK Junior Novice classes.

Of the four, Orduna and Del Val face the biggest pressure as the lone hope to deliver a title for the Ready2Race Team powered by Tuason Racing School, Golden Harvest Integrated Services & Shipping, BANPU, Barwil-Smith Bell Shipping, Rio-Tinto, FARM, FORD Batangas, Tony Kart, OTK kart parts, HJC Auto Helmets, Sparco Racing, AIM Racing gauges and Oakley Race Gear.

Orduna, after his big win in the last leg, moved up second overall with 419 points or just 21 points behind points leader Renz Pazcoguin. Chances are Orduna is pressed to sweep all races and hope that Pazcoguin winds up third to capture the crown.
