Bridgestone riders dominate superbike series

ROSARIO, Batangas - Bridgestone riders Miguel Bichara, Chris Ignacio and Martin Tancinco of Denso/Absolute Racing Team ruled their respective categories in the sixth and final leg of the Shell Advance Superbike Series at the Batangas Racing Circuit recently.

Bichara, riding a Suzuki GSXR1000cc Superbike, dominated the race series with a perfect score of 300 points in capturing the 2008 title in the Mastersclass division.

Ignacio, also racing a Suzuki GSXR1000, consistently garnered points to finish second in the Novice division and second runner-up in the Mastersclass division.

“It pays to be consistent in finishing in the top 3 all the time, this will eventually give you the championship title,” Ignacio said

Tancinco, racing a Yamaha YZF R6, also placed among   the top three in several races this year, but he was unable to garner enough points to keep him in the top three standings of the Mastersclass when he skippped several races.

The event was sanctioned by the National Motorcycle Sports and Safety Association.
