Ynares defends title in NCA stag derby

Gov. Ito Ynares, the solo champion in the National Cockers Association (NCA) Stag Big Event Derby Part I, is defending his title in the NCA Stag Big Event Derby Part II Oct. 28 at the Ynares Center in Pasig.

Gov. Ynares won with his own breed which came from the imported broodfowls of Dan Gray of Louisiana, USA.

Only stags that are properly screened and banded by Salpukan, NGBA, G, PAGBA, LGBA, and Bakbakan will be accepted by the NCA to participate in the derby.

Entries will again be screened and checked by Johnny Jalandoni and Boy Velez, both of Negros, in the morning of the fight before being leg-banded to make sure that they are legitimate stags properly screened by these organizations.

The NCA has the option to reject the entries that do not meet the requirements under NCA rules and regulations.

The expected participants, among others, are Elmer Nepomuceno, Buboy Dela Cruz, Gerry Ramos, Arman Santos, Bebot Rojas, Ferdie Buensalida, chairman Rudy Albano and Jimmy Ang, Efren Canlas, T. Sevilla, and Bebot Uy, Patrick Antonio, Sammy Uy, Pol Estrellado, Allan Tan, Danny Soriano, Ruel Ricafort, Bebot Villar, Danny Teves, Vice Mayor Nestor Mercado and Lito Orillaza, Johnny Jalandoni and Boy Velez, Boy Jiao, and Mario Villamor. and Davao’s Jingco brothers, Jet Fernando, Iggy Arroyo, Sammy Uy, M. Mailig, Rene Medina and Claude Bautista and George Torres.
