Referee’s suspension NABRO’s decision
The recommendation to suspend referee Bryan Tabañag for his lapses during the La Salle-FEU game last July 12 came from within the National Amateur Basketball Referees Organization.
Rolando Omampo, a former referee himself and now NABRO president, called for Tabañag’s indefinite suspension that was carried out by UAAP commissioner Chito Narvasa.
“In view of the review and evaluation (of the game), the undersigned has concluded that Mr. Tabañag erred in his judgment,” said Omampo in his July 14 letter to Narvasa.

The STAR was trying to get in touch with Tabañag, the vice president of NABRO, as of presstime. He is a certified architect who loves officiating, and has been with NABRO for 12 years now.
