Southeast Asian Games gold medalist Eduardo Folayang rained down crushing blows on Caloy Baduria’s face to win the “Super Fight” of the Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC) XII last Saturday at the A. Venue Events Hall in Makati City.
The prized fighter of Lakay Wushu Team, holder of the welterweight title, took the win after 3:41 in the opening round.
It was an explosive ending in the 10-bout event dubbed as “Supremacy.”
Baduria, the middleweight kingpin, looked helpless as the slugger known around the fight circle as “Landslide,” came down hard on him.
In the bantamweight division, Justin Cruz of Fokai, Guam locked up Lino “The Terminator” Tagacay of Gym Kata and Philippine Army Team to grab the title in the event sponsored by Pony, No Fear, Yoshinoya, E-Games and Pagcor Venezia VIP Club.
Kevin Belingon of Lakay Wushu, on the other hand, retained his flyweight title over Magellan Perez of Elorde Mixed Martial Arts Team.
Meanwhile, Jerry Legaspi of Hybrid Yaw Yan beat Anthony Dominic So of MMAX Combat, Carry Bullos of SELF-DEF Mixed Martial Arts Team bested Arnel Arancina of Gym Kata and Lando Espinosa of Elorde Mixed Martial Arts Team toppled John Naval in the tournament supported by Absolute Zro, Optimum Nutrition, VRP Medical Center, Domino’s Pizza and media partners Solar Sports, Jact TV, Rogue Magazine, Maxim, Magic 89.9, Wave 89.1 and NU 107.
Other winners were Robert Sardone of Iron Gladiator over Noble Ampoc of Yaw Yan Ardigma, Roldan Cariaga of Yaw Yan over Marlon Abrigosa of SB Streetfighting, Ed Uy of Hybrid Yaw Yan over Dennis Balmores of SB Streetfighting and Sered Razi Jabbari over Panchito Estrada of the Elorde Mixed Martial Arts Team.
