Pals import, seven others summoned

Talk n Text import Terrence Leather is now facing possible sanction for his misconduct in their game versus Barangay Ginebra in the Smart PBA Fiesta Conference at the Araneta Coliseum Sunday.

Seven other players have been summoned to a meeting with league commissioner Sonny Barrios Thursday for offenses ranging from flagrant foul to technical infraction.

The Kings drubbed the Pals, 100-89, in a highly emotional game marred by no less than six technical fouls, the ejection of Leather and a post-game commotion at the hallway leading to the dugouts also involving the Talk n Text import.

After the contest, Leather figured in a heated verbal tussle with Chris Alexander and Alex Crisano that nearly escalated into a fight.

Earlier, the 6-foot-9 Talk n Text reinforcement had an outburst on the court after being called a second technical foul causing his ejection early in the fourth quarter.

He vehemently protested the technical call, taking off his shirt before eventually leaving playing the court.

Also called either a flagrant or a technical foul in last Sunday’s twinbill were Alaska’s Randy Holcomb, Magnolia’s Danny Ildefonso, Talk n Text’s Macmac Cardona, Felix Belano and Ali Peek and Ginebra’s Ronald Tubid and Alexander.
