Manila Golf, M-Benz stage The Inaugural
Manila Golf Club formally opens its new all-weather championship layout today when it hosts, in partnership with Mercedes Benz, The Inaugural for select members and their dependents.
The new-look Manila Golf Club par-71 course, located in the heart of central business district Makati City, is now equipped with a stete-of-the-art computerized irrgation system that recycles water from its 25-milion gallon lakes and tributaries.
Manila Golf is one of the few clubs in the country to have a water recycling plant that cleans and recycles effluents water wastes. The system is not only very economical and environment-friendly but also keeps away from depleting our aquifers.
The one-day inaugural event, which will accommodate 128 players (members and dependents only), will stake a Mercedes Benz C-Class 200 Avantgarde as a hole-in-one prize, courtesy of CATS Motors Inc., on the par-three, 167-yard Hole No. 14.
