Realtors back on track
Sta. Lucia found an easy way getting back into the swing of things in the Smart PBA Fiesta Cup.
Behind a blazing start, Sta. Lucia whipped Welcoat, 111-97, and snapped a two-game losing streak last night at the Araneta Coliseum.
The first half was more like a scrimmage for the Realtors who zoomed ahead 10-2 and 20-4. Early in the second quarter it was 41-21, and later on 55-30.
That was the biggest lead of the game, and from thereon it seemed that the Dragons just couldn’t avert the loss that came after two straight wins.
“It’s nice to get back. I’m happy we’re back,” said Sta. Lucia coach Boyet Fernandez sitting inside the pressroom, looking down at the stats sheet.

Welcoat, on the other hand, dropped to 2-5, wildly missing a chance to notch its first three-game win streak in franchise history. It won its last two games against Purefoods and Magnolia.
The Dragons made a run in the third quarter, and cut the huge deficit to single digit at 71-62. But that was the best they could offer as the Realtors pulled away once more at 81-64.
In the other game, Talk N Text pulled off a close win over Alaska Milk, 98-96, and gained a share of the lead with Red Bull and Coca-Cola at 5-2.
It was the third straight win for the Phone Pals who drew 31 points from Mac Mac Cardona. The loss, on the other hand, was the fifth in seven games for
