Feliciano to show drifting skills in Race Wars at Clark

United States-based Filipino Lance Feliciano gets to show his wares April 26 when he sees action in the first Race Wars Philippines 2008 at the Clark Expo inside the Clark Economic Freeport Zone.

Feliciano, son of former rally driver Larry Feliciano, is the first and youngest Filipino to be issued a professional drifting license by Formula D – America’s professional drifting series. He is also one of only 38 drivers to carry such a credential.

In 2006, Feliciano, who is supported by Whiz Oil, LF Performance and Von Braven Corp., competed in his first Pro-Am event at the Irwindale Speedway in California and bested 55 other drivers to earn the right to represent the West Coast in the US Nationals in Las Vegas, Nevada, where, on his first appearance, he finished second overall.

The first Race Wars Philippines, which starts at 7 a.m. and will also have an autocross, drag racing, drifting and car display, will mark Feliciano’s first drifting stint in the country.
