AdU tests SSC in Shakey’s V-League

-

Adamson hopes to raise the level of its game as it takes on a debuting San Sebastian side today, looking for its third straight win in the Shakey’s V-League 2007 Second Conference at The Arena in San Juan.

Coming off a pair of straight-set victories over Far Eastern U and Lyceum, the Lady Falcons will have to double their effort when they duel with the SSC tossers, who are raring to start out strong in the tournament sponsored by Shakey’s Pizza.

Defense and teamwork have netted Adamson two victories in the early going of the tournament but guest player Neriza Bautista and mainstays Janet Serafica, Jacqueline So, Rizza Laguilles, Jill Gustilo and Angela Benting will have a lot of work to do in their 3 p.m. encounter with the Lady Stags.

San Sebastian, hoping to finally nail the elusive crown after back-to-back runner-up finishes, will rely on Thai import Jaroensri Bualee and veterans Rysabelle Devanadera, Charisse Ancheta, Jinni Mondejar and Laurence Ann Latigay.

“We’re doing okay because we’re playing superb defense and we’re committing less errors,” said Adamson coach Minerva Dulce Pante after her wards defeated the Lyceum Lady Pirates last Tuesday.

Letran and FEU, meanwhile, clash at the 5 p.m. with both teams eyeing win No. 1 after dropping their initial assignments in the event backed by Mikasa, Accel, 100Plus Isotonic Drink and Active White Skin whitening products.
