Batang Dragons post second win

-
Ketley Villar and Rommel Ortega scored 14 points apiece to power Welcoat-Makati to a 75-56 romp over debuting Talk N Text-Quezon City 2 yesterday in Division Two of the Burlington-PBA Basketball League at the Araneta Coliseum.

It was the second straight win in as many games for the Batang Dragons, who gained early lead in Group B.

Tomas Torres added 12 points for Welcoat-Makati, which extended a two-point halftime lead to 45-32 by outscoring the Batang Phone Pals, 19-8, in the third quarter.

Francis Paguirigan tallied 16 points and Brine Ayun added 10 for the Batang Phone Pals, who struggled with their shots in the second half.

Red Bull-San Juan also pulled a lopsided victory against Coca-Cola-HRCSD, 80-37, in the other Group B action.

Danielle Lumahan and Renato Bianzon each scored 10 points apiece for the Barakos, who took a 48-17 advantage at halftime and took away any chance of a comeback by the Batang Tigers by holding Coca-Cola scoreless in the third period.

Kenneth Ducusin showed the way for the Batang Tigers with 14 points.
