Chot Reyes has been tasked to form the national team to the forthcoming Southeast Asia Basketball Association (SEABA) championship.
PBL commissioner Chino Trinidad, named chairman of the five-man selection committee, has called on Reyes to brief the committee on his program for the RP team in a meeting today at 2 p.m. at the PBL office in Pasig.
Others named to the selection committee were Lito Alvarez, Junjun Capistrano, Christian Tan and Wilson Young.
Due to the proximity of the SEABA joust, the majority of the committee has expressed their inclination to tap Reyes and his all-pro team for the job. Tan earlier suggested Boyzie Zamar to field his own team for SEABA.
With the majority vote, Trinidad and company are likely to formalize Reyes’ appointment as head coach of the national team after their meeting this afternoon.
