Emerging boxing hero Rey "Boom-Boom" Bautista arrived yesterday morning at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal II from the United States where he boosted his stock with a fourth-round stoppage of Brazilian rival Giovanni Andrade Sunday.
Accompanied by his manager Sammy Gello-ani, Bautista arrived via a Philippine Airlines flight PR 103 from Los Angeles, Califonia.
"Im very happy with the result of my latest fight. Im looking forward to keep my winning streak and hopefully get a crack at the title soon," said Bautista.
With his swashbuckling fourth-round win over Andrade in their scheduled 12-round bout at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Florida, Bautista solidified his position as next in line to challenge WBO super bantamweight king Daniel Ponce de Leon of Mexico.
