Qatari TV here to shoot RP footage

A three-man sports crew from Qatari television station Al-Jazeera arrived Wednesday afternoon to shoot footages for a 45-minute feature titled "Road To Doha 2006" to be aired as a primer for the 15th Asian Games set Dec. 1-15.
"The Philippine segment is part of an ongoing series where the countries in the Asian Games will be showcased said RP accreditations head Moying Martelino, who welcomed the group a producer-director, a cameraman, and a commentator along with Philippine Sports Commission official Norberto Dinglasan.
The Al-Jazeera team, led by Ali Ryah, a sports correspondent, arrived via Thai Airways from Bangkok and will be proceeding to Vietnam and Cambodia next week.
"They will be shooting sunsets and other Manila sceneries" said Martelino. "Practice sessions of the different national teams will also be covered."
Scheduled first is the training of the rowing team with the lush greenery and placid waters of La Mesa Dam as backdrop.
They are set to take footages of the Chef de Mission meeting at noon today at the Rizal Memorial administrative building, with one-on-one interviews with PSC chairman Wlliam "Butch" Ramirez, the RP-Asiad contingent chief, and Philippine Olympic Committee president Jose "Peping" Cojuangco scheduled.
