Firms back Highlands Ladies Cup

An impressive diversified group of sponsors is supporting the first Highlands Ladies Cup slated for a shotgun start July 15 at the Tagaytay Midlands Golf Course.

Motorola Electronics Pte. Ltd and Motorola Canopy are the latest Platinum sponsors to throw their support to the tourney hosted by the Tagaytay Highlands Ladies Chapter.

"Participants will be pampered from registration to tee to green to raffle prizes," said Farah Laurel-Imperial, assistant tournament chairperson. " Our sponsors are as excited as the ladies to hold a memorable golfing event that players will look forward to year after year."

Aside from Motorola, the nine other Platinum sponsors are: HSBC, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., San Miguel Corp., Highlands Prime, Baron Travel, Northwest Air Lines, Club Car, Philippine Air Lines and El Nido Resort.

"The Gold and Silver sponsors also come from an industry mix: travel and hotel, food and drinks, banking and pharmaceutical, fashion and beauty, toy, media, paint, golf resorts and accessories," said Dionne Cu of the tournament committee.

ComWorks Inc. is the latest Gold sponsor donating Bird cellphone and two units of Bird Dream Satellite for the raffle.

Fortune Tobacco Corp., Asia Brewery’ s Summit, Unilab Corp., Gina Mango, Paul’ s Milk, Susan Baker, Apex Detergent, and Godiva joined the list of Silver sponsors.

Open to all men and women, the tournament using a stable ford format will be classified into four divisions, A, B, C, and ladies.
