Amonsot to fight in Pacman undercard

The pride of Tagbilaran City Czar Amonsot will show his stuff against Silverio Ortiz in the undercard of Manny Pacquiao’s WBC International super featherweight title defense against Oscar Larios topbilling the blockbuster "Mano-A-Mano" card on July 2 at the historic Araneta Coliseum.

This was confirmed to The Freeman the other day by Amonsot’s manager, noted boxing patron Antonio "Bidoy" Aldeguer.

Initially, Ortiz was set to battle former ALA mainstay Randy "Kumong Bato" Suico, but the Cebuano hard-puncher pulled out of the July 2 card because of a world title shot.

Suico earns a shot at a world title for the first time in his career when he slugs it out with undefeated WBA lightweight champion Juan Diaz on July 15 in Las Vegas, Nevada. — Emmanuel Villaruel
