Orcollo, who also won earlier this year at the US Bar Table 8-Ball Championship and the Hard Times IPT Qualifier, proved unstoppable all week as he scored victories over Corey Deuel, Tim Hall and Rich Geiler then routed Davenport, 9-1, to grab the hot-seat Sunday.
The 27-year-old Filipino ace cue master actually blew the chance to dispose of Davenport, who worked his way up from the one-loss side to reach the finals, in the first set of the double elimination finale, squandering a 5-1 lead and enabling Davenport to snatch a 9-7 win to force the decider.
Orcollo got to the hill first, 8-7, in the second set of the finals, but scratched on the break, enabling Davenport to tie the match at hill-hill with a flawless table run.
Davenport broke the final game and made a ball, but had no position on the one ball. He then pushed out to a long straight shot on the one but Orcollo took advantage with a slow rolling shot on the one ball followed by a dicey table run to earn the thrilling 9-8 victory.
With his feat, Orcollo took home $12,500 while Davenport settled for runner-up prize of $7,500.
