Gerald taps Jennys help to regain form

MACAU Filipino Gerald Rosales is banking on advice from his famous sibling Jennifer, an LPGA Tour star, to help re-launch his flagging fortunes that once offered so much promise.
The 29-year-old Rosales, once a hot commodity after a stellar amateur career, lines up at this weeks Macau Open but it is his home event, the Philippine Open next week, where he is aiming to reproduce his best form.
Rosales was one of the regions brightest amateurs before turning professional in 1999. But poor form in recent times saw him lose his full Asian Tour playing rights.
He has turned to sister Jennifer, who won two LPGA tour events last year and has banked more than $2 million in winnings, for morale support.
"Ive been working hard on my game, just practising. It has been frustrating when you cant play in tournaments. Im hitting the ball good, so hopefully over these next few weeks itll be good," he said.
"Jennifer and I help each other a lot. In recent times, she keeps telling me to keep working hard and that itll pay off eventually," he said.
"Im trying to be more consistent and have been working on my putting," he added. (AFP)
