Talk n Text has undertaken a little facelift for the coming PBA All-Filipino Conference by taking in frontliners John Ferriols and Poch Juinio in two separate trade deals.
The Phone Pals acquired Ferriols from the Air21 Express in exchange for Mark Telan and enlisted Juinio from the Coca-Cola Tigers for a future draft pick.
The Piltel franchise may also sign up free agent Vergel Meneses whos been practicing with the team for over a few days now.
"It was a collegial decision on our part to trade Mark (Telan) to Air21. Were looking at Ferrriols to complement Asi Taulava at the post," said newly hired TnT coach Derrick Pumaren.
"Ferriols may be a bit small as a frontliner but he has a good touch from 15 to 17 feet. If they double up on Asi, Asi can now kick the ball out to Ferriols for a perimeter shot," Pumaren added.
On Juinio, Pumaren said theyve gained additional ceiling and championship experience.
The Phone Pals made a strong showing in the Fiesta Cup classification round but failed to make it past the quarterfinals in the playoffs. They eventually finished fifth in the tourney. Nelson Beltran
